Continuing the messages blocked by Google case, the client sent me the change he made to the email signature, which was one of the hypotheses for the block. Here is the response I sent to him.
Hello _______,
Thank you for getting back to me. I needed help to identify anything wrong with the signature. And given the timing of the change, it isn’t the cause of the problem.
Something was modified in the Blackbaud platform, which was the most critical issue. The compliance level of its message is now as expected.
Most of the messages from around Apr 11th were outside of compliance, but on Apr 17th, the majority complied.
Around Apr 17th, we had 99.42% of compliance, which is what we should expect.
During that period, Blackbaud sent more than 11,600 messages with 100% of compliance.
The domain’s reputation is recovering; if everything continues, it will return to the “High” stage:
Adding to the fact that you can deliver emails to Google users, I assume we can finalize this case.
This case was more complex than usual because Google’s support could have been more helpful, and I had little autonomy to make the necessary changes. Anyway, I hope it was worthwhile.
As a final contribution, I leave here:
1) An article that explains in detail how Google handles email authentication and why it is crucial to monitor DMARC logs.
2) A contact form that you can use in case you encounter deliverability issues with Google accounts again.
Please, let me know your thoughts?
Kind regards,
Fabrício
