I was invited by Folderly to share my experience as an email deliverability consultant and affiliate partner. You can watch the webinar or read my thoughts below.
I’m a former software developer who switched to digital marketing as a marketing consultant. Since the beginning, I’ve worked with email marketing, and I niched into email deliverability as a natural path due to increasing demand from customers reporting deliverability challenges.
I work with small businesses or SaaS founders and decision-makers, helping them leverage their email marketing efforts.
The main reason why people seek my help is that they don’t know how to approach the problem. Some of them didn’t realize that deliverability exists until they detected their engagement rates decreasing suddenly; some of them have tried different things by themselves and failed, and now they want professional help; and a few others just don’t have time for it because they’re too busy running their business or working on their product.
If you don’t know how things work, it’s tough to determine what went wrong and why. In many cases, it’s not easy for us to explain how things work to our clients because they don’t understand how email works behind the scenes and servers. They just want their campaigns to go out without any problems. So, we have to build trust first and make sure that our clients understand what we do before working together on their campaigns.
Another challenge is that so many factors affect deliverability and email marketing in general. We can control many aspects of the deliverability, but not all of them.
And the customers usually expect results quickly. They want to see their email campaigns performing as expected. So we need to be able to respond quickly and efficiently. Usually, we have to “repair the airplane while it’s flying.”
We need to be able to make decisions quickly and move on with the work at hand. That’s why an automated solution to support our efforts is fundamental.
Now talking about Folderly: the main point is that Folderly delivers results. It improves the deliverability of the email account. And this is non-negotiable. Put simply, it works.
Folderly is an excellent partner because it can provide solutions for every type of customer I refer.
Folderly’s team has a broader vision because they work with many different types of clients and use cases. They also share their knowledge whenever I need advice on a particular issue or project.
That’s important because I usually work alone as a consultant, so I need peers to discuss our challenges and exchange knowledge.
In addition, Folderly’s pre-sales point of contact (Yana) makes me confident that I can find the best approach for each of the customers I refer. She works closely with me so that we can learn about each other’s needs and requirements before deciding which solution is better suited for each case.
Moreover, the team follows up periodically on each client to see how everything is going — this shows us that Folderly is truly engaged with the customer success and not just interested in making money by signing up new clients.
