I recently received a retargeting email (also known as browse abandonment).
I was researching email marketing tools to recommend to a client and visited this page on the Emailtooltester website. A few days later (maybe the next day), I received this email:
This retargeting email is a prime example of how email marketing automations can be a powerful tool for service companies, not just limited to e-commerce sites.
Email automations generate great results by contacting the customer at the most opportune moment for a specific action.
