Hi,
A simple and effective tactic is to ask in your welcome message to your list what is their main question or challenge regarding the niche you operate in.
It has two benefits:
- You get valuable information about your customers’ real needs and problems.
- You create engagement with your list and send positive signals to email service providers, improving future messages’ deliverability.
However, a client posed this objection to me:
A question about this practice: with over 20,000 new contacts a year, if I ask all new subscribers to send me an email, it’s going to take a lot longer to process incoming emails. Is there another way of doing this?
My response to him:
“Thank you for sending your question! You can create a generic automation to handle responses that cover 80% of the most common questions. If the questions are particular, you can avoid asking questions and request the person to click on a link, for example. The important thing is to generate some kind of engagement with your email.”
Oh, and remember to share the responses with your sales team if you work in different departments 🙂
If you have questions regarding email deliverability and automation, comment below and I will reply.
Cheers,
Fabrício
