Last week, I experienced some accomplishments and gained new insights that have led me to rethink my career path. Let’s explore!
Firstly, I’m pleased to share that I’ve launched my affiliate website focusing on email deliverability martech. It’s still in the early days, but the site is now up and running. I’m looking forward to helping others discover useful tools and tactics for improving their email deliverability in a subtle and efficient way.
In addition to launching my website, I’ve also been spending time reading some books by influential authors. I’m currently enjoying Cal Newport’s “A World Without Email” and Chad White’s new edition of “Email Marketing Rules.” These authors, along with a recent blog post by Seth Godin titled “Revisiting Stamps for Email,” have given me a fresh perspective on my work as an email deliverability specialist.
This quote from Seth Godin’s post was like a slap in the face: “Giving anonymous people and organizations the chance to steal your attention all day, at scale, seems like a worse idea every day.“
As I dive deeper into these readings, I’m realizing that I’d like to shift my focus from cold email marketing to email marketing strategies (from the deliverability perspective) and referral marketing. This change feels more aligned with my introverted nature, as it emphasizes building genuine connections and creating meaningful content, rather than bombarding people with unsolicited emails.
That’s a little peek into my journey as an email deliverability specialist. I hope you enjoyed reading and gained new insights along the way. Until next time, happy emailing!
