We received another suspension notice from Google due to too many spam complaints (“Google Notification: User suspended for spamming.”)
We’re working with two hypotheses:
- When we have many messages from the same sequence step being sent on the same day, it hurts the percentage of spam complaints compared to the total messages sent.
- The fact that all sequence messages are threaded like a conversation may encourage spam complaints.
As in this sequence, messages must stay threaded like a conversation, we will limit the amount of messages we send in each step of the cadence.
In this project, we’re using the Klenty tool. We can limit the sending of each sequence step through the sending window time.
We limited the first sequence message to 40 sends. We determined the sending to 1 hour (maximum 48 emails) for the following steps.
